Privacy Policy

How Lumiist collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

Last updated: June 2026

Who we are

Lumiist is a web application that helps businesses generate branded documents from their brand identity. These services are operated by Lumiist, a company registered in the United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at info@lumiist.com.

What information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you use the lumiist platform. This includes:

  • Business name, description, and other brand identity inputs you enter into the tool
  • Logo files and brand assets you upload
  • Email address and contact details if you get in touch with us
  • Payment information, processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details
  • Usage data collected automatically, such as pages visited and features used

We also collect certain technical information automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and how you navigate the site. This is standard for most websites and is used to keep the service running properly.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the lumiist service
  • Generate your brand documents using the inputs you provide
  • Process payments and send transaction confirmations
  • Respond to questions or support requests you send to us
  • Understand how the platform is being used so we can make it better
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising purposes.

Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)

Where the UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:

  • Contract performance — to provide the services you have requested
  • Legitimate interests — to operate and improve our platform, where this does not override your rights
  • Legal obligation — where processing is required by law
  • Consent — where you have given us explicit permission, such as for optional communications

How we store and protect your data

Your data is stored on secure servers. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take this responsibility seriously and review our security practices regularly.

Brand inputs and uploaded files are used only to generate your documents and are not shared with other users or third parties outside of what is necessary to deliver the service.

Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate lumiist:

  • Stripe — for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
  • Anthropic — to power document generation using AI. Inputs you provide may be processed by Anthropic's API.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — to serve and run the application.

We only share data with third parties to the extent necessary to operate the service and do not permit them to use your data for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep the site functioning correctly, such as maintaining session state. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain conditions
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing
  • Request a portable copy of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@lumiist.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as is necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. If you would like your data deleted, please contact us and we will action your request promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
